The project utilizes a KMR iiwa robot, an edge PC, and Zenoh middleware, leveraging 5G for low-latency, high-reliability communication. Testing focuses on functionalities like autonomous navigation, vision-guided manipulation, and real-time task execution. KPIs include cycle time reduction, overall equipment efficiency, and latency, demonstrating the potential of 5G to enhance industrial automation by enabling real-time control, improving efficiency, and ensuring safe operation in dynamic environments.
