5G - Enhanced Quality Control Tool for Composites [5G-EQCT]
The 5G-EQCT solution enables real-time quality control of large composite parts in manufacturing by combining RGB and thermal imaging with AI analytics. Using 5G connectivity, high-resolution video data is transmitted from the factory floor to a cloud-based AI model that detects surface and subsurface defects. This allows operators to receive immediate feedback, make informed decisions, and reduce rework, scrap, and inspection time. The solution targets sectors like automotive and marine manufacturing, where quality and consistency are critical.
