METALINK integrates 5G technology to enable real-time monitoring and control in Laser Wire-Feed Additive Manufacturing. The trial demonstrated 5G’s low latency and reliable communication, improving deposition accuracy compared to Wi-Fi and approaching wired connection performance. This use case validates 5G’s potential for industrial metal additive manufacturing applications.
