The LPS-5G system was tested across three real-world scenarios in Italian laboratories and industrial environments to evaluate its effectiveness in enhancing workplace safety. The setup included 5G-connected stereo RGB cameras, wearable sensors, ArUco tags, and monitoring PCs. After system calibration and configuration—such as setting safety distance thresholds—the system was used to simulate realistic conditions. It successfully tracked both moving operators with sensors or tags and external users without them. The system demonstrated the ability to monitor confined and open spaces, detect proximity violations, and trigger alerts, showcasing its potential for real-time, high-precision safety monitoring in dynamic industrial settings.
